We left Cairns & headed south to Townsville. Just a leisurely 350 Km run passing fields of sugar cane & bananas, this area has recovered after the devastation of Cyclone Larry about 3 years ago. Cane cutting is in full swing & the sugar mills flat out. Unfortunately we didn’t get pics only video so you will have to wait until DVD is done to see them.

Townsville is getting back to normal after the V8s, still a friendly town, but now for another winge or should I say a continuation of a previous winge about vanners changing, we seem to see the longer you are on the road the more that some are self centred. We are striking a lot who won’t talk & completely ignore you.
Our next stop will be Hughendon & a trip into Porcupine Gorge, also a visit to Frankie J Holden’s café.
